"Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You."
Being "me" at this point in time entails foregoing some fixes, even if the solution is staring me right in the face. (Darn it woman, it's just a torn seam. Go get your sewing box!)
Or to put it another way:
Being "me" is using the tears in the fabric of our lives, analyzing them with a moderate amount of humor and some philosophical bladibla.
There's a whole world out there being "Youer than You" today. Go check them out via Francesca at FuoriBorgo.

Fabric will tear at some point - the important thing is to have a sewing box close at hand when that happens! (I think ...)
Humor is always a good idea - in any situation.
i think i'll rest my case.

I have a sewing bag overflowing with things that need mending. And rather than doing each thing as it comes up I tend to leave it, and leave it . . . until, suddenly, I find myself sitting there doing the whole lot in one go and wondering why it took me so long!
Cute fabric!
I like this humorous portrait...and the picture, funny :)
oh boy ! this reminds me a bit of me ! i usually stare at my mending pile for years and then, i throw it away and start over !!
i love too your phrase "philosophical bladibla" ! that cracked me up !!
here is my 'youer than you' ... http://bonnie-simple-beauty.blogspot.com/2011/12/youer-corner-than-view-you.html
Mending is harder than starting anew.
Like the print on the pajamas.
I have a year in my pj's but can't be bothered to fix It.
Haha - that is so me! I would just turn them into cut off shorts :-) I will have something sit out for years just waiting on a button to be re-affixed and, yet, I can sit and cross-stitch for 6 hours straight.
I have a favorite sweater that tore very quickly, and the two tears are still there. I want to wear it as is, show the tears, the life and how it's worn...
I neither wear it as is though nor sew it...
I suppose your finding some universal discoveries in your you=ness!
love it:))
